Went with 7 friends. I am a pretty laid back person but things kept going wrong, its was pretty bad. We had 9pm reservations and didn't get seated until 9:40pm. We were finally seated and again ignored for 20 minutes as about 10 waiters wer...

I had an enjoyable experience at Ristorante Panorama. It was my first visit there and the first thing that struck me was all the awards for the restaurant's wine list. After I was seated and received the list, I understood why. The list was huge but our server diligently walked me and my companion through it. We settled on one of the flights of wine, which allowed us to taste five different wines. The meal was also very good and I was impressed that the restaurant opened its entire menu for a restaurant week function. Usually during a restaurant week dining experience, you're confined to a limited selection. I would return to Ristorante Panorama.

Yes they have great Italian food, but the wine selection here has to be the best in the city. By the bottle & by the glass the choices are immense. This is the place for wine lovers.

If you like wine with your meal this is a great choice. The food is outstanding. The steaks have great flavor and the portions are filling. The staff is very polite and quick with your requests. It is a upscale restaurant the everyone needs to try.

I like this place for the wine - not so much the food. The restaurant side is very stuffy and the food I've had is underwhelming. Sit at the bar and be blow away by how many wines they have on tap. It's over 100. Get a flight and sample. You might just find a new favorite wine.

We went for lunch. After waiting for 15 minutes for our waitress to come over we were rudely given the menus. There we only 2 other tables besides ours. I ordered a dish that did not come as ordered. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she told me there was nothing she could do and to " deal with it". I was appalled to say the least. For these prices I expect top notch service. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. You are better off going to Dave and Busters down the street. At least there you will get better service.

Upscale place in old city. Very extensive wine selection and a very peaceful setting. The food was excellent (the lobster ravioli was superb) in both presentation and taste. The service was very good. Upstairs the atmosphere is more intimate than downstairs where it is brighter and the tables are closer together.\r The price is what you would expect to pay in that part of the city, and it is well worth it. Parking is cheap.\r Highly recommended.

My husband and I went to enjoy our first night out as new parents on Saturday September 29th and decided upon Restaurant Panorama. Much to our surprise we were extremely disappointed. After we were seated it took an extremely long time for anyone to come over to take our beverage orders. Once our beverage orders were taken we also gave our dinner order considering how long it took. We waited about 10-15 mins when our appetizers came out before our wine flights? Our silverware was taken away after our appetizers and my husband and I had to eat with our dessert forks and one knife? Our waitress never came over to see how we were doing at any point. In my opinion part of going out and enjoying a good meal when spending over 200 dollars for two is stellar service. The experience we had at your restaurant on Saturday night was horrible and I can truly say that I will never recommend or choose to spend my money at your restaurant in the future.

The food was good, but nothing special and the service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress looked like it was 5AM and we had just woken her up from a sound sleep. Not to mention she messed uo our bill in the end. Go to sit at the bar and you will be happy.

The food here is great, but the wine list is amazing. dozens of wines by the glass and I was surprised to find many grappas by the glass. Nice atmosphere too.

Restorante Panorama has a great selection of wines; the Italian food is average and overpriced. They have over 120 wines by the glass, and their "specialty" is wine flights (1.5 oz of 5 types of wine). Our server was knowledgeable and hel...

I'm sure you've read the other reviews- the wine selection is amazing and the flights of wine are definitely fun to choose. I thought dinner was good, but undoubtedly over priced. I agree with another reviewer- don't go for the food.

My husband and I went to a pre-dinner wine tasting at Il Bar. The idea of flights of wine was very fun and we enjoyed the experience. However, I'm not sure their preservation system works 100%. We both agreed that a strange taste ran through the wines -- they tasted very flat and very alcohol-like. It wasn't as much of a problem with the fuller-bodied wines like Cabernets and Zifs but definitely a problem with lighter wines.

Had a 8:00pm reservation and was seated @ 8:05 which is outstanding for a saturday night, remember you cann't kick out the early crowd if they wonn't leave. Pound for pound some of the best food and service around this town. Great place to take a date. The bar area was happening too. Awesome place with lots of great looking people floating around. A most go to Restaurant. On my second visit there we had to wait for a table to open up and we grabbed a few flights at the trendy bar. Good area to load up while waiting for a table. Good place to take a date and then some.

Don't go to Panorama for dinner. Although it looks appetizing, there really isn't much to the Italian food at this restaurant. It's boring and fairly plain, which is a real disappointment considering the wine list is so awesome. With a terrific wine-by-the-glass menu, Parorama is a great place to go after dinner. But get there early, the bar tends to get really crowded after 9.

I love everything about Panotama, and if the guests wish prompt service, they should tip the waitresses & waiters & bartenders generously, like 20% to 30%, since the tip is almost their whole salary. If you are a repeat customer anywhere, if you don't tip well, you won't get the top-notch service. You get what you pay for.

We always enjoy coming back to Panorama for the food. Pasta Mista and their veal dishes are delicious. What still needs attention is for the restaurant to seat people that have reservations promptly and not make them wait 20 minutes! Also, the service once we sat down was fair at best. Took 15 minutes to place our order and then our drink glasses were constantly empty.

We had reservations for 7pm on a saturday night. We hit traffic on our way in and called to notify them we would be 10 minutes late. No problem, right?! Wrong! We didn't get seated until 7:45 pm. Slow service did not get us our dinner until 9pm, a half hour before the show we had tickets for started. Our glasses were empty most of the night too! Messed up a simple pasta/shrimp order!?!

Good concept, but poor execution. My bartender was NOT helpful at all. While I understand that remembering 120+ rotating wines is not easy, there should be some more knowledge of them other than what it says on the bottle. (i.e., I asked if a certain wine--this one happened to be produced in Pennsylvania--was oaky, he didn't know, nor did he know the region in which was produced.) A brief description would have been nice, as would more eclectic wines. The food was good, but not spectacular, and the service was slooooooow. But the restaurant itself is beautiful (ask to be seated in the wine cellar--quieter and more romantic), and the people were nice.

The Wine selection is wonderful. It is really fun to take a "flight" and sample many different kinds of wines instead of just getting a glass or bottle without knowing what you're getting. I would come to the bar before dinner and take a flight or two but then leave and go somewhere else for dinner. The food is ok, never great. I've had worse food but when you go to a nice restaurant and don't have a problem paying the prices they charge, it's fine
